Learners attending the ceremony received a certificate from Graham Morley, Chief Executive Principal of South Staffordshire College and had their photographs taken with Graham and guest speaker James Walshe, programme director at Kerrang! Radio.
And in a special presentation ceremony, 20 students received an Outstanding Achievement Award. Nominated by the curriculum staff, these special awards were presented to students achieving excellent results or achieving whilst facing personal difficulties or considered to be the Student of the Year for that particular faculty.
Guest speak James Walshe was delighted to be a part of the evening.
“The FE Graduation Ceremony is one of the highlights of my year, not least because I felt I could share the pride in the personal achievements among the students” he said. “The choice I made to do a Further Education course was the best decision I every made and it was a genuine thrill to meet the talented and enthusiastic students”.
